Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri Dixit is an acclaimed Indian actress known for her role in the movies Beta Saajan and Hum Aapke Haiin Koun..! In the 1980s, she began her acting career, and was popular with the role of Tezaab, in which she starred alongside an established actor Anil Kapooor. The next time she appeared on screen was Dil with Aamir. In Mumbai her home, she grew up within a middle class family parents. At a very young age, she began to take dance lessons. She ventured into acting as young and fought for several years because many of her early films failed. She eventually found success and became one of the leading actors in the Indian film industry. Following her wedding the actress took time off from acting before returning. She played a major role on Gulaab Gang, a film about women's struggles in India. Dixit received 8 Filmfare Awards out of the fifteen she was nominated for. Padma Shri was awarded to Dixit. It is the fourth-highest civil honour in India. Her name is well-known for her charitable work as well.
