Annette Funicello (born Annette Funicello) was an American musician, actress and performer. She was best known for her role as one of the first "Mouseketeers" in the show 'Mickey Mouse Club.' Her singing career started as an teenager. Annette was born in Utica to Italian parents. When she was a kid, she was prone to timidity. When she decided to pursue a professional career in the business, she started doing dance and performed. In the mid-1950s, she received a lot of attention through her performances in "Disney" sketches. Annette's "Disney" persona was discarded at the age of 18 when she was able to play adult roles. Being one of the first actors, she was recognized with introducing the "beach" style of party. The films she appeared in included "How to Stuff A Unruly Bikini.' Pajama Party.' and Beach Party.
